Original german book The streets of Adolf Hitler (Die Straßen Adolf Hitlers 1933/34) printed in 1935 by Roehler & Amelang,Leipzig. Hardcover. Sixty color pictures created by Ernst Vollbehr at the instigation of the Inspector General for German Roads, with a foreword by the Inspector General for German Roads.
Ernst Vollbehr (1876-1964), was the official artist of the Reichs-Autobahnen. Before 1933, Vollbehr was active as a traveling artist painting landscapes of countries such as Brazil, German West-Africa, India, Hawaii and others. In 1905 he worked for the well-known German artistic magazine 'Jugend'. During W.W.I he produced some 1200 war related paintings and watercolors which were published in 1915.
