In the 1920s and 1930s, Woitschach played marches for the German colonial protection forces. Carl Woitschach and his brass orchestra occupied an outstanding special position in the cultivation of German and Austrian marches, with excellent musicians playing for his recordings and even members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra playing with him for many years.
