Rare Third Reich illustrated history book: '3000 Jahre Deutsche Geschichte' ('3000 Years of German History') by Rector J. Vogel (Breslau: Verlag Heinrich Handel), 1936. Published for members of the Hitler Youth, the book uses plenty of illustrations, maps, and photographs to tell a 'Nazified' history of the German state and culture, including pages on Vikings, the formation of the 'First Reich' by Kaiser Heinrich the Fowler (a favorite historical figure of Heinrich Himmler), Friedrich the Great, Napoleon, the First World War, and many more. As expected, the book also extensively discusses the Nazis, racial matters, Adolf Hitler, and the German demand for the return of their African and Pacific colonies.Very good condition,no missing pages.
